If you like peppermint tea you’ll probably like this one too – they are similar but different in the same way that peppermint and spearmint sweets are similar but different. Spearmint tea is said to leave the mouth and digestive system feeling clean and fresh. It is used in the treatment of fevers, headaches and digestive disorders including indigestion. Although no records of toxicity have been seen for spearmint, large quantities of some mints (especially in the form of essential oil) can cause abortion so some caution is advised in pregnancy.
