We've been asked many times for a metabolism boosting tea and this wonderful tasty tea is the result of our research. It's the first time we've used a 'proper' tea and, sticking with our principals, we've gone for a decaf Japanese Sencha green tea. Most decaffeinated teas are made using methyl chloride to dissolve the caffeine out of the tea. We don't like the sound of that so this one has been decaffeinated using carbon dioxide. This is much gentler and affects the flavour of the tea much less. However, as with all 'decaffeinated' products, it is not 100% caffeine free like our other strictly herbal teas.
It also contains spearmint (see here for our information on spearmint), olive leaves and dandelion, which has been used for centruries to boost the metabolism and reduce water retention (see this entry in the Plants for a Future database).
As with most of out teas, this is loose leaf - we think it makes for the best possible tea. We have lots of kit that helps to make using loose leaf a breeze here.
It looks lovely and tastes fantastic - we reckon it's one of our best tasting teas!
